NEW YEAR MESSAGE

MILTON ROVERS YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB STATEMENT:

Milton Rovers YFC would like to take this opportunity to pass on our condolences to the family and friends of Motherwell F.C.'s captain PHIL O'DONNELL. As the senior football club in the area, we have many links to the club and many of our committee, coaches and parents have close ties to Motherwell F.C. Some in fact were friends with "Phil". Milton Rovers YFC were also guests of Motherwell F.C. at the Dundee United game yesterday and witnessed the display of fast flowing great football and plenty of goals but also the unfortunate end of an era. 

"I personally had the privelege to meet Phil O'Donnell on many occasions at Fir Park whilst delivering the "Score Goals Initiative". He always had time to speak the boys, he always made me feel welcome at the club. He was a genuine good guy and a great player. I am shocked and saddened by his untimely death. I am sure all our Club wish to send our best wishes to his wife and young family at this sad time......"

Sportsmans Dinner 2007

This event is on Saturday the 25th of August. We will be selling raffle tickets for this event from the 1st of July until the event and at the event.

The prize list is as follows:- Table for Four at Hamilton Race course, 20" Flat Screen Colour TV, 2 ball at Gleneagles, IPOD Shuffle, DAB Radio, MP3 player..... More prize will be listed as they come available. 

Coaches Tournament

Again, a great night had by all with a glorious and well deserved win of the "friendly Cup" by the 1999 age group coaches. The night ended in the early hours of the morning. The final call was "bring on the new season". (please note that the two coaches, that are holding the trophy, did not hold it at the end)

GALSTON 2007

Pictured here are the 1999 age group with their trophies. Milton Rovers was represented at all four age groups over the period of June 2nd and 3rd. This was the 1999, 1998, 1997 and the 1996. The tournament was again a great success

FUN DAY.

Milton rovers would like to thank all who turned out at the Fun day it was a great success and raised over £500.00 for club funds.

The pictures below, show the fantastic trip the 1992 and 1993 age group had over easter 2006 in Holland. All the kids, coaches and parents had a great time. .

Pictured with Carluke rovers are Douglas Scott (1996) and Grant Scott (1998). This is the first Brothers representing Milton as mascots for Carluke Rovers. They both thoroughly enjoyed the game and Carluke won the game 3 - 1.

Anybody who would like there son or daughter, who are involved with the club, to be a mascot at Carluke rovers home games could they please put there names forward to either Alan Collin or David Lannigan (numbers are on the “club coaches” page of this web site).
