Welcome to Milton Rovers Youth Football Club

Milton Rovers was founded in 1991 by W Moffat , J Wallace , F McCallem and three months later I Peacock who ran the first team which broke away from the E.U. church.

Within two years the club were running four teams who were all competing in the West Lothian league. As time progressed a new team was added virtually every year until all age groups were covered. With so many teams involved, the ambition of

W Moffat as club chairman, and all the managers and coaches, was to build a Milton Rovers Complex which could be used not only by their own teams but also a cross section of the local community. A fund raising committee was formed and grants were applied for. The biggest boost to this was from the National Lottery. Along with this funding a small group of committee members begged and borrowed materials, and supplied time and effort in abundance to get the club house and astro turf up and running.

The complex has been open now for around seven years with roughly two hundred and twenty boys and girls training and taking part in teams at the moment.

We have came a long way in thirteen short years and have achieved many good things, including eight boys capped for Scotland and many Milton Rovers players picked up by professional teams. This is a great reflection on the coaches and managers who give up their time and experience to the teams.

At the moment we have around thirty licensed coaches and a good strong young committee who will help ensure a positive future for Milton Rovers.
